Miracle Whey Protein Powder by Dr. Mercola is one of the most experience protein powders on the market. It is $33 for a ONE pound canister from Mercola’s website and that doesn’t even include shipping. Is it all hype or is it really worth the cost? Keep reading to find out!
Miracle Whey only comes in one size which is 1 lb. and that is only 11 servings. There are seven flavors: Banana, Blueberry, Chocolate, Original, Peanut Butter, Strawberry, and Vanilla. Each serving contains 32 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat, and 2 grams of carbohydrates.
The flavors are a little bit stronger than what I’d like but they do have a good flavor and little to no aftertaste which is a huge plus. The powders smell good and mix easily with water. It is nice to see 32 grams protein per serving. Most other natural protein powders have around 20 grams at max.
I’m not really seeing or understanding where the miracle of this product comes into play. Their website lists all the reasons why their whey is the best on the market but honestly, there are several out there that are just as good for a fraction of the price.
The labels crack me up. For as high a brand that Mercola makes itself the labels look really generic. They look like they’ve been printed with a home printer, even the pictures of blueberries, bananas, etc. are pixelated and don’t look so great. There is possible new packaging. I’ve seen it online but not in person yet. The newer label looks a lot better but still isn’t quite the branding I think they need to help justify the high price of this protein.
I would recommend this product based on ingredients and quality but not on price. I think you should keep looking for the natural whey supplement you’ve been dreaming about.
